a naggy post from afar
[ 6:32 PM ]
Hi girls,
I just have the sudden urge to drop a post. First of all, a big hug to all of you especially my ex students and team mates and coaches!
This blog is simply the only thing that keeps me updated about Extremes. Reading the past few entries posted by Ade(i guessed so) made me feel as if i have missed out heaps. I remember the times we had just before i left
SG, the team never really had a common goal or direction for the players to charge on. There was hardly any room for improvements (as a team) due to a constant low attendance. I tried, together with a few others and coaches, to motivate everyone i could despite receiving the most crappy
screamings ever. It was really tiring to maintain a team, especially when players don't enjoy training moments, when players don't put in effort to interact well enough, when players keep to their cliques, when players don't try to see things in a different light. Yes, coaches can be unreasonable i agree (
i've been one too), sometimes too hurting to the weak-hearted, sometimes too irritating. But you know what? No one gets the best of all worlds. In whichever team you belong to, there are bound to be problems, there are bound to be unhappiness in some way or the other. Even in the best of clubs, I shall not name any, you may be ultimately unhappy that you are not groomed in your desired position, you may be benched and not given court time, but you get the glorious perception of being in a
prestigious club. So my point is, decide what you really want. If this is where you belong, work hand-in-hand with your club mates, have frequent team talks to sort out differences, have a group of closer club mates yet not
forgetting the others during and out of training hours. ;)
And coaches who are reading this, i hope i am not offending anyone in my next few sentences. I honestly think Extremes has got good potential young players and you all have one of the best court strategies to make a team shine. But honestly Extremes have really weak basic foundations. We all need a strong foundation to be able to stand out. I believe this is what we are doing now so it's a good start for us! And determination of course! And and and, the ability to sustain the best performance for 4 quarters each game! One last comment i have is that i think it's time coaches accept feedback positively and adapt to the new world which consist lesser intense chiding (But some chiding is still necessary of cos). Subconsciously coaches are not reacting positively, i mean coaches around the world do too! It's always about finding something to cover up the
feedback, i hope this makes sense!!!
To end, i really hope to see an ultimate team result when i return to
SG for holidays! By stating result, i don't only mean competition result! I mean team goals are reached, attendance improving etc!!! Work hard girls though i wish to work hard together with you all! :)
EXTREMES AGM 2009
[ 4:57 PM ]
Thanks to Chun Jie, for going through with this AGM despite having a busy schedule. Thanks to all players who were there despite having training on Friday and/or Saturday. For you to have shown up at the chalet means alot to the club. Chun Jie has asked for a summary of what was discussed on Friday itself. Hope that I managed to get the essence of Mr Bok's message on that night!
First of all, the club is growing healthily, with 3 different categories of players in Extremes, Extremes Sonique and Extremes Junior. We aim to keep players in the same team for as long as you choose to continue playing, both for development of the team and for development of individual players. This way, you will have the opportunity to build up the camaraderie necessary for the game. You will also be able to provide each other better support amongst teammates due to the fact that all of you are from similar age group. With the exception of Extremes which is struggling to get enough players, the other teams should be doing fine in the coming years, provided people are commited to the team, which brings us to the second point.
Commitment to the team is very important because without this commitment, we will not be able to achieve. No matter what it is that we are trying to achieve, we need to have the team together and without everyone, we will not go far. So, coming for tranings without making up excuses is very important to us and we are still hoping for everyone to know that 1 or 2 people's absence from 1 training will cause a domino effect on future trainings. So, let's come together, once a week for 2-3 hours, and have fun!
Last, an important development which the club requires is the training of new coaches and umpires. Coaches can help to bring in new players into the club, so that we will not stagnate, but will have new blood from time to time and umpires will help us to save some money so that we can have enough to book the courts for training. As Mr Bok has stressed several times on Friday itself, Extremes is now self-funded and relies on each and everyone of you to contribute in order to survive. It is not easy to keep the club running due to the expenses, but Mr Bok has done it for years out of passion for the game. I am sure that all of you can afford $30, $50 or $100 for 1 year, just to play the game. Should not take things for granted lest you miss it when it's gone! So, please pay your club fund if you have not! And, take the initiative to sign up for umpiring/coaching courses available at Netball Singapore! Gather a few friends to go along with you so that you will not be bored during the course(s)! Other than helping the club to develop, taking umpiring/coaching courses will help you yourself to develop at the same time be helping you to gain more insight from different views as an official. You will most probably get to learn things that you never will as a player! So, if not for the club, then do it for yourself, for the love of the game! =)
I think those are the main points, if anything is missed out, feel free to add on this!
Hope that everyone had a good time and let's work towards Daisy Tan Carnival 2010! =)

bird's comments
[ 9:19 PM ]
Hey guys!
though i've been quiet, doesnt mean that i havent been checking up on you all HORRR!
anyway, just wanted to share my side..
I've been consistently playing with Melbourne Uni's netball club and trust me.. there is rarely anything abt playing as a team. everyone there is pretty much very individualistic. like even down to the very last detail.
trainings are basically like this. Go there. run 2-3 rounds around 1 court, do a bit of drills. then game. pretty much like in Singapore too. but the only problem is, people dont talk there. like when we are trying to get consecutive good passes without drops, i'm the only KIASU one that's SHOUTING OUT THE COUNTS. omg. damn embarrassing sometimes. and the only conversations we ever have is gossiping about other people. which is basically redundant for training. so its just like going there, train for 2 hours and go home.
game days are even worse. we arrive half an hour before. some arrive 15 mins before the game. say hi, do your own warm up. start the game. finish the game and good bye. rarely any interaction at all.
honestly, the only reason why i'm still playing with them is so that i dont get rusty.. hahaha. and of course as ade said, the love for the game.
i mean honestly, they're nice people. but you dont feel like a team when you're playing. you dont have the urge to fight for the ball. to play your best. to give it your all when you're playing in a team that isnt exactly "like a team".
i honestly think that its important to be bonded as a team. to play as a team. and to play FOR the team. given that NETBALL IS A TEAM SPORT! hahaha. but..... yeah. jiayou k people!
dont let scoldings affect you. treat it like an avenue for improvement.. =)
hahaha. the funny thing is, in Australia, NO BODY GETS SCOLDED WHEN THEY PLAY. EVEN IF THEY PLAY LIKE SHIT! haha its always BAD LUCK! and DONT WORRY!
and when they lose, "lets just all blame it on luck"
but its a motivation that they do only talk about the good things that you do on court. like good interception, a good run, a good shot etc. they never EVER say anything negative. always something constructive.
so different in Singapore. where i've been brought up my ENTIRE netball life being scolded for playing like SHIT. hahahaha.
sigh.
anyway, i just wanted to rant something. and i have no one else to rant to coz no one would UNDERSTAND EXCEPT YOU GUYS. =p
i'm gonna miss my netball FINALS coz i'll be on holiday la! i'm like freaking depressed can! its like freaking finals man! with the crowds all cheering. like you're playing in Toa Payoh like that. omg... i cant believe i'm gonna miss all that... on the 30th of July and i'm only coming back from my holiday to Singapore on the 30th July...... i'm damn depressed. like freaking depressed. i need love from Extremes. LOVE.
Quick. SHOW ME LOVE!

sharon's comments
[ 5:57 PM ]
I have decided to post.. :)
So many things to say but i shall not be too naggy (as what my ex players always say i am). And i don't really know how to start. And don't be surprised i don't structure this entry properly cos i type what comes to my mind.
Just want to share my views on the team's performance though i may not be there to witness any of the games. For years of playing under Extremes, there has always only been one main problem that stopped us from exceeding our limit (actually, we even have problems meeting our limit). That is, what Ade has touched on, the individual thought of getting scolded. I do miss the batch which consisted of Annnah and Peiling. At least they didn't think of 'will i get scoldings today?' etc.. If u get what i mean. They have the right mentality on court, to just go out and play NETBALL. Not play MENTAL GAME. - if u get what i am trying to say.
I left SG, i haven't been playing for extremes since then but i still think i am part of Extremes. Being one of the oldest players, i do hope for the best progression of the team. To progress as a team, the only way is to have a team goal. A common goal which will tie everyone together. A competitive goal that will motivate us to achieve more than what we might think we are capable of! Agree?
And yes, agree with Ade that people come and go.. We hardly have any team debrief, which i always feel is impt, to keep a team bonded well. It is always during these debriefs that u get to know one another better and most importantly, u get to know each others' weaknesses and strengths by saying out. Of cos it helps not when only the coaches or captain speaks during the debriefs. Everyone needs to say something. And when i say 'something', i don't mean purely 'entertaining' the team debrief by saying something not from the bottom of your heart. What works for a team is when problems are made known and efforts are taken to solve them. Think about what i have just said so far. If u disagree, u tell me what are the other ways that can improve our current situation.
Actually i do feel that there is a need for every team to have a 'clown' to lighten trgs at times. At least i feel it helps la. I don't exactly mean really clowny person but more of someone who knows when to joke, when to motivate, when to make things better when the team is experiencing some form of sadness for example. I really don't know if i have made myself clear. Anyone who understand what i mean may want to help me in expressing my views in another entry :)
Lastly, i want to tell Stella that it's a good thing to be the shield of the team. Sometimes u may feel that u get scolded for nothing (i experienced that too yes?), but c'mon which coach doesn't feel the pressure too? They, standing out of court looking at the team's under-standard play, they may not think str8 at all! They may just need to scold someone to wake the team up. Stella, stay strong. When u are able to take up the role of a shield, it helps your team to progress easier. The rest may not be screamed at too many times but i am sure they feel bad when u get screamed at. And when they feel bad, believe me, unknowingly, they will try to play their best to help in any ways that they can. Many times i feel as if i was so so so wrongly scolded on court! But when i think back after a shower, i realised that most of the times i really deserve those scoldings.
I really hope Extremes will play brilliant games and show the rest of the association that this is a team with great sportsmanship, quality and quantity. Of cos this goal takes time to build up. Slowly, but surely.. All the best in ENL, people..
Ps: for those who were not selected to play for extremes this ENL, don't give up on trgs. You might not be selected due to position clashes. Work hard. Hard work pays off, i am sure. With talent, it only pays of at a quicker pace. Nothing beats the love of the game.
And, see, i am naggy. I failed to stop myself from being naggy again :P bye!
ade's post-game reflections
[ 11:15 PM ]
I have so much to say that I'm afraid I'd forget about it if I leave it till tomorrow! So, here are my thoughts..
1st - I think Mr Bok is right in asking us what we want from joining this club.. Everyone has their own reasons for joining this team - that is an undeniable fact. For some people, like me, we are not able to say why we want to join the team, we just want to! I want to believe that there is this underlying love for the game that keeps us coming back, although alot of people come and go, we are the ones who are still here. That is what is important! We are very much alike - more alike than you would believe! We should be working closely together with one another to bring out the TEAM factor in netball. Right now, we may all be talented players, but we are not playing as a team - this could explain why we were not able to perform just now! It is not that we are not good. I am sure everyone has their own hidden talents, just that we are not able to bring out these talents at the moment. We have to believe that we are able to complement each other with their individual talents, and work together as ONE TEAM. Only then we can achieve performance (of course, there is FITNESS to consider as well...).
2nd - how are we going to work as ONE TEAM if all of us are going to just come for training, traing together, and then leave after that? How many sentences do we speak to one another during training? I think we should start having the practice of having a short team talk after every training - doesn't have to be long, but we should be able to get everyone's input on what they have learnt during the training. We need to reinforce what we have learnt and put it to practice. Take the posture of making a pass for example, we know that we have to change our posture when making a pass, because we have learnt that! But, what is keeping us from changing? If you really think about it, it is due to the lack of practice! Why the lack of practice? We are not internalising the
thought that we have to change our posture. And why is that so? All of us simply go home after training, without thinking about what we have learnt during that session. To put it simply, we may have had a futile training session in that case. Isn't that right?
Same thing with the holding of space of the shooters. I have the same problem with WenQi (hi-five!), but we have to keep reminding ourselves to get used to the new way of changing sides when we hold our space. It is only with constant reminder that we will be able to change and improve ourselves, don't you agree? The mind is more powerful than we can imagine it to be, and we have to fully utilise that!
3rd - still something to do with communication, and working as ONE TEAM. We are too quiet on court. Is it because we are not familiar with each other and their style of play? If so, why are we not familiar? Is it because we do not talk to each other outside of training? Why do we not do that? Because we are not familiar with each other? You may realise that I'm going around in circles - I hope you realise what I'm trying to say! We are going through a vicious cycle, and if we do not break out of that, we will NEVER get to know one another better, and we will not be able to perform as ONE TEAM! Right? So, we should all make a promise to ourselves to talk to people whom we are not too familiar with in the team, so that we can understand each other better and from there, we can work together better when we are on court! Keeping quiet is not going to help the situation. We have all gone through that and we should do something to improve! If keeping quiet does not help, why not try making some effort to make some noise and try to influence one another to be more positive and alert when we are on court, so that we can help to cover each other's mistakes! That's right, I'm not saying that if we manage to work together, we will be a perfect team, DUH.. BUT, we can be a BETTER team! We can be better players and together, we can achieve what we expect to gain by coming to this club - to play netball, be it good netball or just netball. Netball is a team game, if you love the game, you have to LOVE the team!
LOVE may come as a strong word to many of us. I am not used to using the word love myself, but we need to feel more strongly about the club, be more fired up about our passion, so that we can actually take steps to improve the situation. Remember, all of us who are in the club now have a common motivation, to be a better netball player. And of course, in order to show that you are improving as a netball player, you need your team to help you shine on court. That's why we need everyone in the team to help one another to achieve each other's dream!
OK, I think the length of thoughts that go through your mind increases as your age goes up. I'm not trying to preach anything, or say that I do not have the problems which I have listed above, but.. I am aware that we have these problems and I hope that I have made you more aware of those issues as well. With awareness, we can now make a choice to either keep quiet still, and stagnate, or open yourself up and let other people gain access to YOU as a person, so that we can better understand everyone in the team, so that we can play better together as a team, so that we CAN BE SCOLDED LESS BY MR BOK AND CHUN JIE! (maybe that's the main point behind all this.. =P)
Anyway, Stella, thanks for taking so many arrows from Mr Bok. You shielded many of us! Not trying to make fun, but I seriously think that we have to open our minds in order to see what he is trying to say. I had the same problem last year and was very biased against him (sorry Mr Bok), but now, I feel that the fact that he is willing to actually point out your mistakes for you and point you in the right direction means that he still cares for you. We should thank the coaches for being willing to spend so much time on us, without expecting any compensation in return. To be fair to them, it is only right that we put in the same amount of effort as they do, if not more, and achieve the level of play that awaits us.
Once again, netball is a team sport, Stella's situation may have been caused by Santa's performance also. What happened out there? They probably haven't worked together for very long, and when they come together, there are bound to be mistakes that happen, because we are not familiar with each other's play. The more worried you are about not being able to partner well with another person, the more you will try to do to compensate for that. In this case, I think Stella's efforts were more obvious than Santa's. Not to say that you did not try, Santa. But this just means that Stella was very positive in working harder so that she can work better with Santa. Right? Not too sure if I'm saying the right things, Santa please correct me if I'm wrong! Sociology skills! =P And of course, I'm saying this because I was at the opposite end of the court, and was able to observe what went on more clearly. Anyone has anything to say about how the shooters worked together please feel free to do so! Personally, I didn't feel that I communicated with my co-shooter when I was on court. I merely assumed I knew what they were going to do and simply went ahead with what I thought was correct! Of course, that is not right, but no one is perfect, and we can try to make it right!
Both Mr. Bok & Chun Jie have more experience than many of us combined, and I think that we should humble ourselves down, open up our minds, and accept their criticism. Remember that at the end of the day, it is the passion that both parties have for the game that keep us going. Maybe like-minded people repel each other. We have more in common than you think.. Even Sharon who is so far away in New Zealand checks back to this blog regularly. Why? She still loves the game, and it will not be the same, being alone in a foreign country.. So many memories with the team, why can't we be more like her?
Not sure if you feel the way I do, but I hope that I am able to reach out to as many people as I can with this essay that I've typed. Let's all work together towards a better Extremes! So much for my two cents' worth..
Love,

NO TRAINING ON 14 May, Thursday.
[ 11:14 PM ]
Said I'd update the blog on whether there would be training on Thursday. Technically, it is still Wednesday now, though I wonder how many people still awake.. THERE WILL BE NO TRAINING TOMORROW, 14 MAY 2009. This is due to the friendly game which we had with the U19 team today.
TRAINING WILL BE AS USUAL ON SATURDAY, 16 MAY, 4.30pm @ Kallang Netball Centre.
Ok, now that this is posted, time to go on to the game just now...

[ 7:17 PM ]
I have decided to post.. :)
So many things to say but i shall not be too naggy (as what my ex players always say i am). And i don't really know how to start. And don't be surprised i don't structure this entry properly cos i type what comes to my mind.
Just want to share my views on the team's performance though i may not be there to witness any of the games. For years of playing under Extremes, there has always only been one main problem that stopped us from exceeding our limit (actually, we even have problems meeting our limit). That is, what Ade has touched one, the individual thought of getting scolded.
Of cos it helps not when only the coaches of captain speaks during the debriefs.
Ps: for those who did are not selected to play for extremes this ENL, don't give up on trgs. You might not be selected due to position clashes. Work hard. Hard work pays off, i am sure. With talent, it only pays of at a quicker pace. Nothing beats the love of the game.
And, see, i am naggy. I failed to stop myself from being naggy again :P bye!

THE LONG-AWAITED NAME LIST FOR ENL 2009!
[ 11:49 AM ]
Dear All,
You know, the Internet is such a powerful tool. News about Extremes published on the blog, is open to all Extreme-ists, and all others who are not! There is a reason why I reacted the way I did about putting up the name list here. BUT! now I realise, there are always 2 sides to a coin. And I would like to share it with all of you!
First of all, not all those in Extremes Junior know whether they will play for the club or not - something which we who will be playing for Extremes & Extremes Sonique do not really go through, since we are short of people. I would like to apologies for that! I know how it feels to not know whether you will get to play or not.
Second, those who are not from Extremes, and want to find out about who will represent Extremes, will find out eventually anyway. AND it does not matter who knows or who does not know, because there is nothing which you can do even if you know who is playing! We have the skills that we need, no one can rob us of that just by having our names here on the blog anyway.
Thank you for helping me with a learning experience, to see things from more than 1 angle! I need ALOT of practice on that! OH, and I accept that I'm not the best player on the court. But it does not mean that I'm not working towards that! Physical defect or not, at least I'm healthy with 2 arms and legs which I can use. I can walk, I can run, I can jump. I feel very fortunate already!
Last of all, to all of you who think that I see myself a big shot, I thank you for that! I am definitely NOT a big shot, I know where I stand. and I was merely trying to protect the club from outsiders who are trying to find out more about us. I am not targetting any of us from Extremes, I see ALL of YOU, Extremes Junior or not, as part of the TEAM and will NEVER have ANY ill-intentions towards you, OK? BUT, after today, and after talking to Coach about it, I realise that there is no reason for me to be so protective! so, here is the team list for all 3 teams. Whoever you are trying so hard to know who will be playing for Extremes, I hope you are on that list. (and I hope that you will come forward with your name so that we know who you are and will be thankful that you are someone from Extremes who is VERY COMMITTED to the team, and I applaud you for that!) Whether you are on this list or not, I hope you know that there is always alot of room for improvement. Because even the players in the Open squad have alot to improve on themselves! Otherwise, I hope that you are happy you have this knowledge now!

I sincerely hope that all of us will put in our best performance in this League to do this club proud. You don't know how touched some of us are to know that there are people out there so concerned about whether they get to play - it shows a strong sense of belonging to the club, which we are glad YOU have. Whoever you are whom I may have offended, I hope that we get to know each other better! Whether you like me or not, it does not bother me. Judge me not by my words, but by who I am truly.

Vesak Day
[ 7:37 AM ]
In view that
SATURDAY is Vesak Day, a public holiday, there will be
NO TRAINING. Please do inform your peers!
Training as usual on Thursday, 07 May 09, 7pm - 10pm. If you can, please be there earlier to "shoot some hoops"! Shooters, WE NEED TO PRACTICE SHOOTING MORE!
See you on Thurs! =)

NSL final
[ 10:55 PM ]
cancelling training for the club to send 20 people to attend NSL final was a wasted decision. we should have carried on with training anyway, since MOST OF THE PEOPLE WHO USUALLY ATTEND TRAINING DID NOT GO FOR THE FINAL GAME. so disappointing, thanks for the NanHua girls who managed to make up the numbers. we had 21 in the list registered.
next training will be on Thursday, 7pm @ Kallang Netball Centre, no more track for now! but cannot say no fitness, confirm will still have.
ENL starting in less than a month's time! counting down, we only have 8 trainings to go, at the maximum. minus off Vesak Day, it'll only be 7 trainings. please do make 120% effort to attend all the trainings as it is difficult for the team to develop if we have a group of people attending training today, and another group attending on another day, if you know what i mean. it'll be bits and pieces taught, not complete.. and it won't be good for the team.
meanwhile, you can choose to get some work out from tomorrow to Thursday!

NSL Finals
[ 8:20 AM ]
hey hey! been pretty quiet here..
a reminder to all: NSL Finals on 25 April, so there will be no training. we need a minimum of 20 people to go watch the Finals, please do make an effort to be there! meet 5.30pm at Jurong East Sports Hall.

Impossible is Nothing-.-
[ 5:19 PM ]
10 METRES IN 2 SECONDS
IT'S POSSIBLE (for the first and last set though!)
well, we thought that it was impossible when jiao lian told us that we'll be doing 10 sets of those. but we managed to pull through it. well, honestly, we only managed to achieve the target for the first and last set. GOOD EFFORT EVERYONE.
sorry I came late. but at least i rushed down from work and turned up(: and by the way, I'm going to be late again for training tomorrow because my work ends at 4.15pm, at Chinatown. Oh my, my first court training after so long. I HOPE I CAN CATCH THOSE BALLS :s
I hope many people can turn up. Hope to see more UNfamiliar faces(that's a good thing). just to let everyone know, after tomorrow, my next court training will be 2nd May due to NSL. I hope we can do ball work on thursdays too.
SEE YOU GUYS TOMORROW!!!
yours truly, FADHLINA(:

and yet again..
[ 1:50 PM ]
another fitness training went pass just like that. with the handful of us attending fitness training. i think we are going to have a half-hearted team which will not be able to perform at its best not because we do not have the skills, but because we lack the fitness. and why do we not have the fitness, because we do not have the correct mentality towards the team. why? some people don't like going for fitness training because it is tough. yes it is, i agree. but, if you do not go for fitness training to strengthen yourself up, you will never be a good player on court. you are weak mentally and thus you will never be a good enough player. so what if you have good skills, when you meet stronger opponents, you will crumble like a piece of paper. not that i have any rights to be pissed off with weak people. i am not that fit myself, but at least i am trying to be fit and i am happy for myself that i put in the effort to at least try. if you can drag your lazy butt to kallang, you can finish off the tasks set out for you by the coaches. if you cannot even conquer your own mind, how can you go conquer your opponents?
enough fussing. just have no idea how to knock sense into people without sounding rude. it was a good training yesterday, i hope. little, but effective. i am actually aching from those rounds of striding. surprised that mr. bok saved us from the last round which was supposed to be timed. =) now i know why chun-jie says his teams always lose to other people in fitness.
looking forward to more good stuff tomorrow! 4.30pm at kallang netball centre. don't be late!

NATIONAL LEAGUE!
[ 10:31 PM ]
National League officially starts on 18 May, which means that we are
5 weeks away. do you think we are ready for it? i doubt so. please, let's all put in our best efforts at training and not let all those hours spent on our feet go to waste! there is a reason why we are doing all these, and it is because we love netball! don't you?
motivation! i went to the gym just now and found that my overall level of fitness has IMPROVED by A LOT! =) i could cycle faster without feeling tired and do more inclined sit-ups before i start to feel the fatigue set in. so happy to see that our monstrous fitness trainings are of some good use! so much so that i honestly miss it, especially since we could not train last Thursday due to poor attendance. i am so looking forward to training on Thursday! join us! 7pm @ track beside KNC.

(:
[ 12:04 PM ]
HAVE A GREAT WEEK AHEAD EVERYONE(:
And just to let everyone know, I managed to ask my ex-team mates from Damai to join in the training. They are really interested but kind of shy about it. One will be joining in for the training this Thursday, while the others will be attending soon. So I'll see you guys on Thursday, I promise(: (:
loves, FADHLINA.
record attendance at training!
[ 10:10 AM ]
we are back to 2-digit attendance at training on saturdays! the previous week we had 18, yesterday we had about 25! =)
and the dear mr. bok is back at the court, being his usual self at extremes training! not sure if it is a good or bad thing, but i am sure that being scolded means that he still cares, and it definitely beats him being quiet! so, be glad that you got scolded!
plus, i think we should not worry too much about being scolded all the time, also because netball is a team game which requires everyone on court to work together. which means that sometimes, your being scolded does not necessarily mean that you are a bad job, just that your partner-in-crime is not helping you enough. so, don't be too hard on yourself, though it would be best to take whatever scolding that comes your way hard so that you know how to improve yourself! see, there's always a positive side to everything! we just need to learn to see it more often!
glad that the sale of drinks is doing so well, hope we can make more money for extremes so that we can afford to send more teams for leagues and carnivals and be able to gain more exposure and experience in the game that we all love!
i am missing fitness training though.. looking forward to training on Thursday! 7pm at the track beside KNC! =) we can go out and havoc after training since friday is Good Friday! yay to public holidays!
oh oh oh, and we must definitely comment on the 老人's superb performance! she literally flew! she's called old because she has good experience too! we'll miss you at training on thursday, 老人!

[ 11:08 PM ]
hello everyone!
BIG ROAR!!!!today's training really PATHETIC yet RELAXING! due to super duper ultra poor attendance.stella and i did 2.4km in 18mins, luckily we found motivation which was chit chatting while running!! half way finishing the last round (both look over to the place where we put our belongings), we were thinking why jiaolian, fang and ade not here yet. okay run over, stretch stretch here and there. my dear monkey friend, BAI, shouted from far, ANGEL! hahaha. she came over to visit us before her training start. oh then jiaolian, fang and ade came. good/bad news for us, training ended and let's go for dinner. GREAT!
ps: i always look forward for trainings, even though i hate the fitness part. because there's people turning up for training and motivates one another. but today i feel so disappointed. :( everyone MIA-ING!!!
ANGEL(ignore poor language) lol
our PATHETIC attendance
[ 10:07 PM ]
it's official. our attendance is PATHETIC. there were only 4 today, physically at Kallang. Stella, Angel, Fanglin and ME again! gosh. what happened to commitment and teammates. pardon me if you have official reasons for not being there. i'd like to reach out to those who are SUPPOSED to be there, but are NOT!
BUT! our trip was not wasted! Stella and Angel did 2.4km, I shan't comment on the timing. Fanglin, Chun Jie and I were too tired to do anything. we went for dinner at Kallang Leisure Park together! =) nice to sit down for dinner together with a few people! i should join the gang for dinner after trainings on Saturdays soon, if I am not as tired as I have been the past few weeks..
moving forward, there will be a
friendly between Extremes, AJC and PJC on Saturday. WE WILL START WARM UP AT 4PM. Please take note and inform the necessary parties to be on time. as this will be a 3-team thing, we hope to maximise the time that we have on Saturday!!
still chasing after $$. those who have not paid club fund, shoes, t-shirt, please pay to Fanglin and/or Chun Jie..
there has been a call for EVERYONE to please go attend umpiring course held by Netball Singapore, so that we can help the club to umpire and all that. i may be taking the one in July, anyone with me? here's the schedule for May and July:
May13 & 19 May (Wed & Tues)
7:30 - 9:30pm
Theory Test: 20 May (Wed)
*Not too sure if we'll recommend this as these dates are close to National League..
July21 & 23 July (Tues & Thurs)
7:30 - 9:30pm
Theory Test: 27 July (Mon)
that's it from me today, time to sleep!
